The Nawawi Center team would like to invite anyone interested to join us at
66 Colombo Street,
at South Christchurch Library on
Friday the 21st of August
at 5pm SHARP.
Please dont be late, we will leave BEFORE 5.15
and will have to leave behind anyone who is not there before that. We will gather here and carpool up the cashmere hills to our usual crescent sighting lookout in an attempt to sight the moon that will determine the fasting month of Ramadhan for New Zealand.
It is usually an exciting event, last year our Christchurch based group were the first to see the crecent and informed the rest of NZ's muslim communities! Detailed Crescent sighting guides will be provided on site, prepared kindly for major NZ cities by Sheikh Afroz Ali of Al-Ghazzali Centre in Sydney.
Please ensure you are dressed warmly and if you intend to join us for prayer that you are in wudhu' and bring a prayer mat.
